this is only showing me images that look more like I'm shopping for chocolate bars or for toolbar background images, nothing like actual screenshots or at least images of the buttons
  • Mc
  • port70
    Mc: thanks.
  • » port70 resists the urge of asking who would use the name "themes" for anything other than "complete themes"
  • port70
turns out the first one is something like one of the two things I was looking for
  • port70
    high contrast
  • port70
although I'd like to have 1) the good ol' default and 2) high contrast version of 1)
  • port70
AMO is not showing the horizontal scroll bar. Is this some browser setting I need to change, or did they screw up their css?
  • Mc
    :-)
  • Mc
    also missing here
  • port70
I can imagine 1. open bug about this; 2. RESOLVED BUYAMACBOOK
  • port70
I don't really mind scrolling horizontally, in fact, for this content, it's probably better than the alternative, which is some reactive design that hides everything and wastes space
  • Mc
i just use zoom in that case and don't care much
  • port70
    but it's sad
  • IZh
Hmm... It looks like in frg's SM 64-bit build tabs drag&drop between windows doesn't work.
  • IZh
So you can reorder tabs inside the same window, but can't drag to another.
  • IZh
The down arrow is shown, but when you drop the tab, nothing happens.
  • Mc
IZh: where is this build from? is it the same as the 2.49.2 tinderbox build?
  • Mc
there it works here on linux64
  • IZh
Mc: frg gave me. Firefox/56.0 SeaMonkey/2.53
  • IZh
    Build identifier: 20171022000932
  • IZh
There are few issues with it.
  • Mc
    ah 2.53. i'll stick with 2.49 testing
  • IZh
E.g. when you switch between tabs, sometimes it doesn't repaint left edge of the previously active tab, leaving it highlighted, until you hover a mouse on the tab on the left of it.
  • IZh
I.e. if you have 4 tabs: 1) switch to #4; 2) then to #1. Until you hover on #3, the left edge of #4 would not be repainted.
  • frg_away
IZh works for me under Windows 7.
  • IZh
frg_away: What exectly? :-) Moving tabs?
  • frg_away
Drag and drop. Opens a new url. Moving the actual tab never worked I think. Not implemented
  • IZh
frg_away: Well, earlier, it would copy the tab in a new window.
  • IZh
But now when I release the button nothing happens.
  • frg_away
IZh that what it does here.
  • IZh
Tried both dragging the tab into existing tab or in between of them.
  • IZh
frg_away: It shows the down arrow. But nothing happens on mouse key release.
  • frg_away
IZH I see what you mean. If you drop it onto the tabstrip it doen't work. Works if you drop it on the window itself. I fixed some stuff for this but the tabstrip might have another problem.
  • IZh
frg_away: Yes! :-) I've tried to drop it on the tabstrip. :-)
  • IZh
frg_away: And the tabstrip has some repainting issue when you switch between the tabs of the same window.
  • IZh
frg_away: Sometimes focused->unfocused repaint doesn't happen completely until you hover over the tab next to it.

  • frg_away
IZh should be a simple fix. If I find the time.... :(
  • frg_away
IZh fixed it but just did a quick check with urls and a tab. Do you want a new 2.53 test build?
  • IZh
    frg_away: Sure! :-)
  • IZh
If it is more or less stable. :-)
  • frg_away
IZh Needed to take 10 lines from a later build and add one. Should only affect this function.
  • frg_away
IZh could you send me an email. Nick to email translation is spotty. Too many people around :)
  • WG9s
frg_away: so fixed that issue waiting for next automated blocklist update to make sure builds do occur when there are changes.
  • frg_away
WG9s do you have a build ready for testing? I could check it.
  • WG9s
    yes
  • WG9s
latest and all of your patches wg9s.com/comm-esr
  • frg_away
    WG9s timed out. Slow line?
  • WG9s
frg_away: actaully more onterested in the linux build because building form the same source using gcc does not work for me but this build used clang.
  • WG9s
frg_away: should not be it is fios 25meg each way
  • frg_away
WG9s unable to connect from here. Network Timeout
  • WG9s
try with http then i guess
  • frg_away
    WG9s already did.
  • WG9s
    how odd.
  • WG9s
let me email you the builds
  • WG9s
frg_away: all three sent like i said ignore file dates this is form tuesday last changes
  • frg_away
WG9s can't access them. Need google login
  • WG9s
frg_away: hmm well no idea why you cant access my website so you cannot access wg9s.com at all?
  • WG9s
if so i guess you need to ask your ISP about this.
  • WG9s
    oh wait a sec
  • WG9s
    this might be my fault
  • frg_away
WG9s yeahh traceroute works so probably something on your site.
  • WG9s
frg_away: guess not. in the past i had a mess of blackhole routes
  • WG9s
hmm let me see if any sepefic blocks in my webserver config i was having a lot of odd hack attempts.
  • WG9s
hmm not ther=ir let me check firewall config
  • Xogium
err, I made a typo in an address, and now sm always do bad completion... How can I remove the address ?
  • frg_away
Xogium usually you select it and press delete. Seems not to work with the dropdown but should in the normal list.
  • Xogium
uh ? What list ? Sorry I'm a bit confused
  • frg_away
Xogium in the url bar there are 2 lists. One history list you can open with the drop-marker and one find as you type. The later can be deleted from the drop down which opens when you type. Hard to explain if you can't see it.
  • Xogium
oh sorry I'm dumb I forgot to specify this was a typo on an email address
  • WG9s
frg_away: pm me your ip address so i can look through logs and figure this out
  • Xogium
    err, noone knows ? :D
  • mcsmurf
what do you mean (I just joined)?
  • Xogium
kind of stuck to send this bug report to kernel dev
  • Xogium
how to remove an email address from the address book becaus you made a typo
  • Xogium
    *because
  • IanN
    Xogium: Window -> Address Book
  • Xogium
erm, any keyboard shortcut ? ... This is the only damn menu that is totally innaccessible
  • frg
Ctrl+5 in Windows and Browser Window.
  • port70
    alt+w?
  • port70
    but ctrl+5 yeah
  • WG9s
mcsmurf: i uderstand there is a Seamonkey association. How do i get approved to be a member
  • Xogium
    tahnks
  • mcsmurf
WG9s: Can I tell you later? There will very soon be a public way to do this
  • Xogium
by innaccessible I meant that the whole window menu is innaccessible
  • mcsmurf
WG9s: bit busy at the moment (due to the association btw ;)
  • Xogium
screen reader won't read anything in there so ctrl+5 is a lifesaver :p
  • port70
what's such an associ... wait, you mean something like the mozilla foundation?
  • frg
port70 yes only more efficient :)
  • port70
don't worry, the mozilla foundation will rewrite itself in rust
  • port70
it will be more efficient then.
  • mcsmurf
    lol
  • WG9s
port70: i think the idea of rust is NOT to make code more efficient I think it is to make the code have less security holes.
  • port70
I think the idea is to get upvotes in hackernews
  • frg
    startup.homepage_override_url ?
  • port70
but I may be wrong. Either way, I'm not confident that this is necessary or a good idea. The best way to get rid of errors is by getting rid of errors.
  • WG9s
Well yes getting rid of errors is how to fix things but making it w=esier to write code without such errors and difficult to add such errors in is also a good thing. I am open minded on this. my only issue is the compiler is lower.
  • WG9s
    s/lower/slower/
  • Mc
Xogium: use the arrows to go to the url and then del
  • Mc
not sure if he got it already
  • port70
hm, this server requires nick registration for PRIVMSG to another user
  • port70
Ah, the world of IRC extensions
  • therube
had /just/ noted (to myself) i was still on 2.49.1, & thought to get 2.49.2, & i also see, 'Network Timeout' on WG9s
  • WG9s
therube: what is your ip address?
  • WG9s
But then once my last build completes maybe i will just try rebooting my cable modem.
  • WG9s
things working fine for me but that is from within my own wifi net
  • WG9s
my last build is just warpping up so maybe will do that witinin next 10 minutes
  • port70
doesn't appear to be accessible from here on port 80 or on https, either
  • WG9s
I wonder if perhaps the public ip address changed so i need ot update my dns
  • port70
    server.wg9s.com has address 173.76.199.121
  • WG9s
so that is the issue i will fix in a minute
  • WG9s
unfortunagtely there is a 1 hour ttl so try in ab hour
  • Mc
therube: you get 2.49.2 in tinderbox builds comm-esr ftp.mozilla.org/pub/seamonkey/tinderbox-builds no win64, though
  • therube
    x64 is what i wanted.
  • WG9s
in the meantime you can just try 173.48.56.114/comm-esr
  • therube
1 hour is better then ... oh, you're up
  • therube
well, the site is up, but so far the download has not commenced
  • therube
anyhow, was saying, 1 hour is better then l10n.mozilla-community.org/~akalla/unofficial/seamonkey/nightly which never did reappear
  • WG9s
therube: i might have made some things redirect to https which kind of reueares the haotname to match wo wait an hour and it might work so much better
  • therube
the direct IP is working, downloading, thanks.
  • therube
oh, OK, so your IP changed from 173.76 to 173.48...
  • WG9s
the i guess i need ot have somthing run that makes sure what i think is the direct ip works. i witched form comcast where i had the same ip for 7 years to fios where it has changed aobut three times over the last three years i guess i need to run somthing to make sure the ip does not change out of cron so I can be procative on fixing htis.

  • opal
that's the extent of how i can help out right now
  • opal
too preoccupied with school and stuff to do bugfixes
  • jwq
Just wondering: is there any way to reorder the window list in the Window menu?
  • jwq
They used to be in the order I wanted but Seamonkey for some reason re-ordered them after a restart :-(
