can anyone point me to the code that implements the undo functionality in mdn?
jwatt: are you referring to the "Revert to this version" for MDN wiki pages? Or some browser technology?
jwhitlock: when you're editing using the WYSIWYG editor, you can undo
maybe it's just all browser stuff implemented as part of contenteditable
thanks for the clarification. We're using CKEditor, so it would be a part of that code
all of _that_ code is at
it looks like there may be an undo plugin, or the SCAYT plugin might take over. More investigation is needed to figure it out.
looks at Florian's comment on Kumascript PR #320 and notes that actually the code is correct as it stands.
sheppy: so, someone updated this:
in a way that is both technically incorrect, and doesn't provide much help as a Glossary entry:
but I'm not sure how to contact them to talk about it?
not sure if I should just revert with a message, or email them or what
April: I'd copy the old version over the top of the new, but try to save a bit of the new if there's any of it worth preserving. That way, the contributor stays in the list of people who contributed something we kept. If none of it is salvageable, then just revert.
sheppy-appt: okay, thanks
April, this person filed a bug to ask about adding an entry for SSL:
so you could discuss it in that bug, but I don’t think it’s necessary personally.
— UNCONFIRMED, nobody⊙mozilla.org — Add `SSL` to MDN Glossary
ah ha, thank you
just leaving a good revision comment is probably good enough :)
I'd like to remove
but at the same time add SSL to the Glossary page such that it goes to
, while still keeping TLS in the Glossary page
any idea how to make an article have two entries in the Glossary master page?
any idea how to do that?
April: I don't think the code supports that - there has to be two pages for two entries
one could be a "see this other page" page, but sheppy might have an opinion on the "thin" page to do that
Use smaller text
Don't colourise nicknames
Use wider column for nicknames
Hide IRC bots
Don't desaturate bots
