can anyone point me to the code that implements the undo functionality in mdn?
  • jwhitlock
jwatt: are you referring to the "Revert to this version" for MDN wiki pages? Or some browser technology?
  • jwatt
jwhitlock: when you're editing using the WYSIWYG editor, you can undo
  • jwatt
maybe it's just all browser stuff implemented as part of contenteditable
  • jwhitlock
thanks for the clarification. We're using CKEditor, so it would be a part of that code
  • jwatt
    jwhitlock: thanks

it looks like there may be an undo plugin, or the SCAYT plugin might take over. More investigation is needed to figure it out.
  • » sheppy looks at Florian's comment on Kumascript PR #320 and notes that actually the code is correct as it stands.
  • April
sheppy: so, someone updated this: developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Glossary/TLS
  • April
in a way that is both technically incorrect, and doesn't provide much help as a Glossary entry: developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Gl…/TLS$compare?from=895875&to=1317650
  • April
but I'm not sure how to contact them to talk about it?
  • April
not sure if I should just revert with a message, or email them or what
  • Sphinx
    hello mdn
  • sheppy
April: I'd copy the old version over the top of the new, but try to save a bit of the new if there's any of it worth preserving. That way, the contributor stays in the list of people who contributed something we kept. If none of it is salvageable, then just revert.

    sheppy-appt: okay, thanks

April, this person filed a bug to ask about adding an entry for SSL: bugzilla.mozilla.org/1405398 so you could discuss it in that bug, but I don’t think it’s necessary personally.
  • firebot
    Bug 1405398 — UNCONFIRMED, nobody⊙mozilla.org — Add `SSL` to MDN Glossary
  • April
    ah ha, thank you
  • wbamberg
just leaving a good revision comment is probably good enough :)
  • April
I'd like to remove developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Glossary/SSL_Glossary but at the same time add SSL to the Glossary page such that it goes to developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Glossary/TLS, while still keeping TLS in the Glossary page
  • April
any idea how to make an article have two entries in the Glossary master page?
  • April
  • April
any idea how to do that?
  • jwhitlock
April: I don't think the code supports that - there has to be two pages for two entries
  • jwhitlock
one could be a "see this other page" page, but sheppy might have an opinion on the "thin" page to do that
  • April
    jwhitlock: hmm
